Situated on a hill overlooking Kainantu, 80 kilometres from Goroka, the Lodge is close to the Eastern Highlands Cultural Centre and Museum, where reasonably priced artefacts and local crafts can be found. It is handy to the Kainantu Golf Club and the Summer Institute of Linguistics and has a popular Sunday BBQ lunch.
