Morobe Province - information pls?

Hi all

I'm traveling to the Morobe Province and PNG for the first time in Feb for a week - can you help with some questions please?

What's the weather like in the highlands of Morobe (near Wau) in late Feb? I've been told wet and cool of an evening with pleasant days.

Is Moresby as bad as the media and travel bulletins make out? I'm flying from Moresby to Bulolo so won't need to leave the airport but if I do stay a night in Moresby will I get to see anything apart from the inside of a hotel?

Is malaria medication recommended? The risk is 'low' according to travel sites but is it prevelant in certain areas?

Any help\opinions greatly appreciated.
