Does anyone know or remember these faces? I'm George Kurien by the way. I'd love to hear from anyone in these pictures or who knows of them. I've now contacted Andew Jolly( rather he me), Roderick Benson and Manish Patel.

Darren, I remember you ! Great memory ! I'm George Kurien, kneeling( painfully) next to Joey...hence the expression. We arrived in Lae in 1978 from England and after three years, returned. Thanks for jogging some old memories.

My name is Mitchell Wan. I am the one between Andrew Jolly and Steve Sowry (he went back to New Zealand) in the 1979 B&W photo.
What are you guys doing? So much to talk about.
My parents owned TOWN TALK on Huon Rd. I still have the bags that they provided their customers 'Town Talk - stoa bilong wantok'
In many ways it was difficult to leave Lae. I never really studied until I arrived to boarding school in Australia - it was a real shock to the system.

Hi, I can't believe it....I found me in a school photo on the net. I know you posted this a few years ago, perhaps you still look on this site from time to time...I'm Catherine Simmons, now Roberts. I just had my 40th birthday and now have a 15 year old daughter. I live in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley area of NSW, Australia. This is Greg Parker, the kid who just disappeared when all I wanted to do was stay in Lae. To this day I still miss Lae, the people I went to school with there at L.I.H.S. and so much more.


I'd love to hear from anyone who remembers me, who would like to say even the simplest of hellos'.
