Destiny of the Doctor : Babblesphere :

Babblesphere is the fourth episode of Destiny of the Doctor by Big Finish/AudioGo which celebrated Doctor Who's 50th anniversary in 2013.

As this is the fourth episode it accordingly featured the Fourth Doctor as well as a cameo by the Eleventh Doctor who was then the incumbent Doctor.

Fourth Doctor actor Tom Baker however was not involved with this.

In lieu of Baker, this story is narrated by Lalla Ward as Romana in a two-hander with Roger Parrott as Aurelius .

Written by Jonathan Morris and released in April 2013.

The Doctor and Romana arrive on the planet Hephastos where they encounter the Babble network in which the thoughts of everyone in the populace can be heard.

Funny when the Doctor reacted to Hephastos and is exactly the same way he reacted when he first head Captain Tancredi's name in City of Death.

Fascinating story in which the Babble network is undoubtedly a representation of social media and the overall message is that the best way for people to know one another is not on any kind of network in which people can communicate through distances but physically up close in a meaningful conversation.

Time Trips: The Anti-Hero:
The Anti-Hero is a short story by Stella Duffy n the Time Trips collection.
Featuring the Second Doctor, Jamie and Zoe.
This is set at at the ancient Museum of Alexandria.
Story mainly works for Zoe, not sor much for the Doctor and Jamie and not bad handling of Hero and the Muses.

The Hunting Ground:
The Hunting Ground is an audio story from Big Finish.
Featuring the Sixth Doctor.
Written by AK Benedict and released in December 2018.
This is a story in which Sixie is on his own and standing in like a companion is the cop Inspector Yrsa Kristjansdottir.
At the same time that I listened to this story, I re-listened to The Condemned which coincidentally has Sixie meeting another cop DI Menzies.
For this story Sixie and Yrsa makes for a good team.
This story is set in Iceland and its atmosphere made me think of those Scandinavian cop shows even though Iceland is not part of Scandinavia.
Very solid story which is about a murder in which the murderer is an alien.
The revelations made at the final episode was definitely worth it.
In the midst of all this is Yrsa’s investigation of the death of her father, also a cop, who died in suspicious circumstances and intriguing what this led into.
Fun that this story featured a singing printer.
Interesting how the legend of trolls gets incorporated here.
The Doctor’s request to Yrsa that ends the story provided a very nice touch to it.

Dark Eyes 4: A Life in the Day:
Opener of Dark Eyes 4.
Written by John Dorney.
Intriguing with the premise and quite lovely with how Liv spends the said day.
Live spends the day with Martin Donaldson whom she and the Doctor meets whilst the Doctor was on his latest investigation.
Fascinating that whilst all this is going on the Doctor and Liv gets hunted by some mysterious force.
This climax in a certain revelation by Martin.
With Liv separated from the Doctor for much of this episode, the Doctor has Martin's sister Kitty as a kind of stand-in companion.
Kitty is played by Beth Chalmers and she knows what it is like to be a companion as she briefly played Seventh Doctor companion Raine Creevey.
No doubt Kitty was written that way for Chalmers to play due to certain issues that prevents Big Finish from using Raine again.
Having travelled with the Seventh Doctor, Beth Chalmers makes for a good foil for the Eighth Doctor.

A Life in the Day included a movie theatre in which Liv and Martin and then the Eighth Doctor and Kitty were in separately.

Recent to my listenings of A Life in the Day, saw the Scream episode When a Stranger Calls which also featured a movie theatre and directed by Patrick Lussier and Lussier had edited the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie which debut the said Eighth Doctor.

When the Wolves Came:

When the Wolves Came is a short story that was originally published in the 2015 Annual and later republished as part of the Heroes and Monsters Collection.

Featuring the Twelfth Doctor and Clara.

Written by Moray Laing.

Not a bad story set around the Dalek invasion of Earth and involving wolves.

Dogstar 1.14 Dog Show had Lincoln Clark (Emma Leonard) saying that she was going to "reverse the polarity" but for something else other than the neutron flow.

The second and final season of Trust Me revamped the series as original star Jodie Whittaker went to become the Thirteenth Doctor in Doctor Who.

The second season which tells a different story has Doctor Who references with the opener stating that a patient has a shrine to Doctor Who.

The second season starred Alfred Enoch as Corporal Jamie McCain and Enoch is the son of former Doctor Who companion actor William Russell who had played First Doctor companion Ian Chesterton.

Another character in this season of Trust Me is Dr Zoe Wade (Katie Clarkson-Hill) and both Jamie and Zoe are names of Second Doctor companions.

Wonder if any thought was given for Enoch's character to be named Ian instead just like the name of his father's Doctor Who character.
