Hi all,

I will work in LAE a couples weeks later, could you give some information of the hotels or other alternatif places. Is it avaible 20 - 30 US Dollar ?

The current rate if converted into PGK would be PGK60 - 90.

A number of places offer such rates... I'd recommend Lae Travellers Inn since its in the center of town with access to banks & shops etc. You could also check Melanesian Hotel or Lae International Hotel (You'd pay more).

How far from the Lae air port??

For me, I also recommend to you the Lae Travellers Inn. Because the hotel is clean, quiet, has professional services and centrally located, this is the pick of Lae's mid range options. Their standard rooms cater cable TV and other necessities for simple yet functional accommodation. Also, I would suggest you print a copy of their local map or buy one so that you can find your way when you are already there. It is quite expensive and waste of time if you keep getting lost at every turn of the street.
