Any plane stories

Hi, I went to boarding school from PNG from 1993 to 1998 and was wondering if anyone else remebers the great fun we used to have on the planes going home. I would love to hear from anyone else that was at school down in Australia. Also if anyone has heard of Alan tyson I am trying to find him.

Plane stories???
I was on a flight from Brissie to POM on one of those flights and the school kids heading for holidays were absolutely drunk after one or two beers. A bit of nuisance but they were WARNED to shut up! Hope you were not one of them....

Pauline Robertson

Andrew Robertson and I went to boarding school in 1979 Tara and Kings, he was born in Lae, he over stayed his time at school and we were stuck in Moresby for 2 days ( Balus Bar!!) until all the paper work was sorted out, they did put us up at the Gateway though!!!!

My two daughters first trip to Mendi from boarding school in NSW started badly when after leaving POM the Air Niugini Dash had to shut down two engines and return to POM...3 hrs later, after some repairs, they started off again for Mendi..

They were rather emotiional when they finally got there...lets see they would have been 14 and 16 at the time...

They never enjoyed the trip up or back after that...certainly the back..

Dash-7

That Dash going into Mendi was a horrible plane. It was either late, broken or both.

I remember that if you sat in seat 7A you could pull back the wall and squeeze your arm through so it was between the inside and outside panes of glass in the window

Nearly gave my mum a heart attack when I first showed her that trick

late planes

the connecting flights did suck.

I got kicked off one time going to Hagen, and Air Nugini refused to put me up for the night. I was luckly saved because an exapt who was picking their kid up saw me fighting with the staff.

And I also hated going back to school. I used to cry all the way from Hagen/ Mendi until I saw my friends at Morsby.
