Star Trek: Hidden Frontier

Fire In The Heart:
Season 2, Episode 7.
Enjoyable storyline in which we are introduced to Captain Knapp’s young daughter just as the Excelsior comes under attack from the Grey.
Quite emotional what comes about here especially just as Captain Knapp truly gets to know his daughter.

Star Trek: Hidden Frontier

Coward’s Death:
Season 2, Episode 8.
Not bad about a fatally physically damaged Andorian crewmen but impressive he ultimately save the day at the end.

Star Trek: Hidden Frontier

Worst Fears Part 1:
Season 2 finale.
Not bad end to the second season as the Excelsior faces off against a Grey armada and unfortunately Captain Knapp got relieved of command due to events in Fire in the Heart.

Star Trek: Hidden Frontier

Worst Fears Part 2:
Season 3 opener.
The third season continues with Worst Fears but this story isn’t over yet as it ends with another cliffhanger as the Excelsior gets nearer the Grey Armada and will the manoeuvre by Captain Knapp work.

First bit of casting has been made for Star Trek: Discovery with Doug Jones as Saru and Anthony Rapp as Stamets.
The legendary Michelle Yeoh has also been cast with the recurring role of Georgiou, captain of the USS Shenzhou.
Apparently the lead character for the series is not the captain of the Discovery but known only as Number One, female lieutenant commander whose real name will be made known before the end of the first season.

John Glenn has passed away.

Born on July 18 1921, Glenn became the first American astronaut to go into space.
Looking him up in IMDb, archival footage of Glenn was used for the Star Trek documentaries Star Trek 25th Anniversary Special (1991) and Star Trek: A Captain’s Log (1994).

As well as an astronaut, Glenn also had a career in politics as he was elected a US Senator from Ohio in 1974 and serving until his retirement in January 1999.
During his long Senate career, Gleen sought the 1984 Democratic presidential election but lost out to former Vice President Walter F. Mondale.
In 1998 just prior to his retirement from the Senate he return to space becoming the oldest person to do so at the then age of 77 on the Mercury and Space Shuttle programs as crew member of the Discovery space shuttle.
He was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012.
He died on December 8 at the age of 95.

Sonewua Martin-Green has been cast as the lead actor of Star Trek: Discovery playing Lt Commander Rainsford.
Her casting as the lead in Discovery indicates that she will soon be leaving her regular role in The Walking Dead where she played Sasha Williams.

Inside Star Trek: The Real Story:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fsd6pqMmFY

Inside Star Trek: The Real Story is a 1998 documentary based on the book of the same name by Herb Solow and Robert H Justman both of whom appear in this program with the former presented it.
Fascinating look at how the original Star Trek was made with those who were involving in making it although none of the series actors are interviewed here.
Good trivia of questions that pops up along the way as Solow takes us on the journey that the series made from its beginning to its cancellation.
Solow neatly ends the documentary saying that Star Trek could have easily have gone with other cancelled series of its time never to be heard of again but as we now all know that was not to be.

In Memory of Grant Tinker (1926-2016) who produced this documentary and was among those interviewed for it.
