Saw Leonard Nimoy in Columbo 2.6 A Stitch In Crime in which he plays a surgeon and the murderer.

In regards the former this is a case in which he was indeed Dr Spock.

The Columbo season 2 finale Double Shock broadcast in 1973 guest starred Martin Landau as twins who are both the murderers of this episode.

Curiously enough two episodes earlier A Stitch In Crime guest starred Leonard Nimoy as the murderer.

Columbo season 2 is not the first time that Nimoy and Landau's careers had followed each other around.

While Nimoy was always Gene Roddenberry's choice to play Spock in Star Trek, Roddenberry planned to approach Landau to play Spock if Nimoy had declined.

Nimoy played Spock for all three seasons of the original Star Trek between 1966 and 1969 and concurrent to this period, Landau had a principal role for the first three seasons of Mission: Impossible.

When Landau left Mission: Impossible after the end of its third season, his spot on the show for the fourth season was filled by none other than Nimoy who became available to join Mission: Impossible due to the original Star Trek having just been knifed.

Episode 6.

When a beast boarded the Enterprise, everyone becomes tetchy and violent to each other.
Situation was eventually resolved when the beast is reunited with his father and this episode presented heartwarming tale of a love between a father and a son.
