photos of Port Moresby, anyone?

I'm an anthropology student writing a thesis about expatriate life in Port Moresby. I lived in POM 1999-2001, & spent my teenage years in Lae (1983-88).

My thesis describes daily life for expatriates in terms of
- arrival/adaptation
- cross-cultural communication
- crime & security
- employment regulations
- the overlap of work and social life
- sexual relationships
- issues of home & belonging (in PNG and elsewhere)
I won't bore you with the theoretical stuff. (I plan on putting the whole thing on the web eventually. Then anyone who's interested can comment / criticize all you want).

Anyway, the writing part is nearly done, and now I'm putting together the illustrations. I took a lot of photographs myself, but am always looking for more. So here goes:

a) Aussie, would you let me use some of your images of Port Moresby? (I mean, of the ones you've posted on this forum).

b) If anyone has other photos they think might be helpful, would you be willing to let me have a look? Photographs of workplaces and social events would be most helpful. Keep in mind that this thesis is about expats.

You'll get full credit for all photos...but I can't afford to pay anyone. sori tumas.

Anyway, hope you guys can help...I love this site.

queen b - you can use whatever photographs you like. I also took a some today whilst at the local craft market which I will be posting under a separate thread tonight.

We as expat's have very little to spend our money on compared to back home. I mean sure there are shops here but it is not such a turn on to hang out at the local shopping centre and walk through shopping malls....what malls ?

Hence, we seem to go on holidays and buy most items we need, with the exception of household products and jewellery and then of course the local craft markets held once a month.
