Hi Sharon - great that this discussion keeps going.
Say gidday to Guy from the Lauws. And I did not know you were Leigh Ottways first love! Lots of water under the bridge since Igam but still remains for me the best of my youth. Dad only passed away in April but all other Lauws are around mainly QLD. Still trying to find some if Dads photos and will post some when located. I still tell people about our bus rides to high school! And yes the theatre and creek were favourites for lots if reasons

Hi San So sorry to hear about your Dad. We lost our Dad in 2002 to leukaemia. Not many of dad's mates remain. It seems serviceman of this era had reduced life expectancies for one reason or another. Take care. Sharon .

Thank you Sharon - and belated condolences to you and your family. Time marched on but very happy memories of PNG because of our fathers.
Regards
San

Hello Sharon, Kerry Burdell here not sure if you will remember me or the family. We lived in the barracks 1968-70. I do have a lovely photo of you and I in our leotards ready for ballet lessons. Father was sgt John Burdell (JB) of 183 Recce Flight. Loved Igam, loved our friendship, loved the innocence. So many names and faces from a childhood long forgotten. Hello to all, Kerry

Hi San, I don't have any photos to hand I believe mum has them all, may take me a while to put my hands on them if she has them.

No worries thanks Kerry. I am still searching for a lot of Dads slides. Will post somephotos when I locate them! In the meantime not sure if you can identify any of the attached. Probably around 1969.

Igam

Quite understandable being 45 years ago! A good backdrop though.
