Snowfall

Vampire Hurricane Part 2:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/ne...lendar_day_23b

The cliffhanger is resolved by reusing a resolution for one of the TV cliffhangers. As the Doctor says, “Well it worked before”.
A well played conclusion to Vampire Hurricane.
Surprisingly Glee gets referenced in the heartwarming coda to this segment of Snowfall.

Snowfall

Station Pressure:

Lovely conclusion to Snowfall as Big Jack and David finally resolved their differences with each other plus a surprising cameo from a past monster.

Matt Smith was in the latest episode of The Graham Norton Show fast tracked from the UK and it was on the ABC in the last couple of nights first on ABC2 then on ABC1. The show also guested Little Britain stars and Big Finish guest stars Matt Lucas and David Walliams.
On this show it included a clip of Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol, Matt Smith telling of a funny occurence involving fan mail and a couple of audience explaining they would make a good Doctor's companion.

Quite bizarre seeing Matt Smith together with Matt Lucas and David Walliams. This is because Matt Smith's predecessor as the Doctor is another David, Tennant while the other David and Matt, Walliams and Lucas are comedy partners. Almost two lots of Davids and Matts in the same room.

A Christmas Carol:
The 2010 Christmas Special.
Arthur Darvill’s name appears for the first time in the title sequence for the first time but Rory and Amy have little to do in this story.
Steven Moffat makes his Christmas Special debut with A Christmas Carol.
Calling this special A Christmas Carol leaves no doubt this is the Doctor Who adaptation of the classic novel of the same name.
Michael Gambon plays the Scrooge like figure in Kazran and singing diva Katherine Jenkins making her acting debut as Abigail.
Michael Gambon provides a great performance as Kazran and Katherine Jenkins has a beautiful singing voice.
Quite lovely the Doctor and the young Kazran taking Abigail out of her suspended animation for an adventure every Christmas Eve and it is a pity we only get brief snippets of their adventures since it could easily make an entire TV season. It was certainly fun that the Doctor was briefly engaged to Marilyn Monroe.
Also worthy of mention is how the shark first made its appearance here as it came as a shock to me.
A heartwarming tale and it will interesting to see what Steven Moffat comes up with for the next Christmas Special.

Circular Time - Autumn:
Autumn is the third part of the Circular Time audio story released by Big Finish Productions in January 2007.
Featuring the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa and written by Paul Cornell and Mike Maddox.
The Fifth Doctor and Nyssa takes a holiday in the town of Stockbridge which the Fifth Doctor had visited before in the DWM strips.
While the Fifth Doctor plays cricket, Nyssa is working on writing a book about her life experiences. It is whilst working on the book that Nyssa meets with Andrew a potential love interest for her.
Autumn is definitely the best of the four segments of Circular Time with it being devoid of any menacing threats.
Sarah Sutton provides a very lovely performance as Nyssa as we get to know her on a personal level which is something that is not done very often. I also commend Jamie Sandford for his performance as Andrew.
The plot of the Doctor in the cricket team is worthy of note due to him disapproving of their racist attitudes and their conformity.

Battlefield DVD:
For the Trails and Continuity special feature in the trailer for Battlefield prior to it being shown on BBC1 for the first time, the subtitles correlates the announcer as saying “the nights fly by”. However she said it when a knight was going up in the air.
Obviously the announcer was saying “knights” not “nights”.
Quite bizarre the subtitle writer didn’t notice the knight when he wrote the word “nights”.
Also for the continuity announcements it was quite clear the announcer meant the title when she said Battlefield but the subtitles presented the word “battlefield” in lower case.
