Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto were on last nightís The Project as they promoted Star Trek Into Darkness.
During their appearances here Charlie Pickering brought up Star Trek Into Darkness director JJ Abrams directing the next Star Wars film.
Quinto, as a joke, pretended that he did not know about Abrams directing Star Wars, a joke that The Project didnít detect straightaway!

Star Wreck IV: The Kilpailu:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9p3Tob9rLxU

Fourth in the Star Wreck film series.
The parodies of Worf and Data make their debuts here.
It also feature a parody of Star Warsí Han Solo called Hans Duo.
The Kilpailu is quite amusing including what happens at the end.

As one can tell Countdown to Darkness is a sneak peek on Star Trek Into Darkness but upon seeing the five minute programme of it on 10 last night it turned out to be a sneak peek of a sneak peek as the full half hour version is showing today May 5 on 11:30am on 11.
So basically the five minute Countdown to Darkness was like a much shorter version of a Doctor Who Confidential Cutdown.

Star Trek: Countdown to Darkness (full version):
JJ Abrams admits that he didnít like 3D when he was ask to make Star Trek Into Darkness that way. I can understand that because even though I do not dislike 3D I donít think it is really that necessary for movie viewing.
Host Angela Bishop said the Starfleet logo was that of a boomerang shape (in fact she wore one herself at the Australian premiere of the movie). I have to say even though I donít disagree with that description I have never heard of it being described that way.
Quite rightly Abrams played down that Benedict Cumberbatch being British was why he got to played villain John Harrison. Cumberbatch simply got the part because he was brilliant at it.
Interesting seeing the tweet from Eric Idle on meeting Cumberbatch and Idle was reading Conan Doyle upon this meeting since Cumberbatch had been playing Sherlock for a few years now.
Didnít realise until Zoe Saldana pointed it out that the movie has a sea of men and that she is delighted that is another woman in the principal cast that of Alice Eve.
Didnít know until watching this programme that Alice Eve plays Carol Marcus. The character of Carol Marcus had appeared before in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Just as The Wrath of Khan was the second to feature the original cast, Into Darkness is the second from the Abrams team.
In The Wrath of Khan, Carol was played by Bibi Besch and was depicted as a former lover of Kirkís and the mother of his son David as well as the inventor of the Genesis device.
Quite a funny and true story when Karl Urban revealed that he almost did not step into Sydney beyond the airport due to him being asked by customs whether he had a criminal record in which he responded by saying that he didnít know he needed one to get into Sydney.

For At The Movies review on Star Trek Into Darkness, Margaret Pomeranz gave it four stars and David Stratton three and a half stars with the latter admitting that he isnít Trekkie.
Margaret says that she found the plot of Star Trek Into Darkness to be more coherent than say Iron Man 3.
There was also an accompanying interview with director JJ Abrams in which he says that he avoided the pitfalls that came with doing sequels and praising Benedict Cumberbatch in his performance as John Harrison.
