Ela Beach International School

From CRY. I was born in Port Moresby and finished Grade Six in 1960, the school was then called the Ela Beach Primary School and the Headmistress was Miss Keating. I have quite a few of photos if anyone is interested. I would like to chat with anyone who went to the school at Ela Beach in the 1950's.

CRY should allow emails or check his messages, otherwise there is not much point in leaving the above message. The headmistress was Jo Keating. She reigned from early '50s to '69, with a brief stint in Lae ('56) at Coro' Drive while a replacement was found for Mr. Breakspear. I believe Mrs. Graham (gr 5) was there mid 50s to mid 80s, but not during '71. If you login again CRY plz post some photos. I was there '69 to '71, and my brothers were there '62 to '64.

Ela connection

Further to the last entry - my father was a teacher at Ela Beach for a short time in 1960 - Len Morrison - he was relieving someone on leave when we cam down from Bulolo. I went to Coronation School, not Ela Beach, then on to Boroko East in 63. My Dad recalls a student called Tuppy Mann.
