Captain Moah Sevua added: ďOur teamís preparation leading up to this yearís competition has shown positive improvements in the basic areas of the game, mainly around the playersí fitness levels, defence and attack play. I believe the teams coming into this yearís competition will be a lot tougher than the previous years. However, we want to defend the title this year again and make it the fifth consecutive win for DeloitteĒ.

Deloitte has won the competition for 4 consecutive years starting in 1999. Since the inception of the competition 1994 the Shield had passed through various firms until Deloitte claim the honours.

Winners of the competition get the honour of organising the annual half-day competition with Deloitte organising the competition for the 5th year running. Deloitte Organising Committee Chairman Robert Tiki believes that this yearís competition will be the toughest with White Young William Lawyers, KPMG, Blake Dawson Waldron, Mirupasi Lawyers, Auditor Generalís Office and Deloitte as likely contenders for the Cup finals. However, other firms can not be written off lightly because they are just as prepared which makes the competition much more interesting and exciting to watch.

The Organisers would like to acknowledge and thank Mr. Colin McVea - National Marketing Manager for Coca Cola Amatil Ltd and SP Brewery for coming to their assistance in providing logistic support to ensure a very successful day of competition.

Partners and Principals of each firmís have been invited to watch and officiate at the finals and the presentation of prises to the Winners of the Cup and Trophy. Various prises will also be distributed to players and teams that stood out in the competition during the day.

The official referees for the Tournament are the Central Touch Association who will be assisted by teams providing official linesman to ensure smooth running of the competition.

Winners are grinners ...Delloittes staff won the game last year. Will they win again tomorrow? We'll see tomorrow.
