Thumbs down

Bulae School was situated in Lae in Eriku. If a student commenced and finished their Grade 6 at the school, they become a "Bulae Baby"

Have'nt been to Lae for awhile, can anyone out there tell us what has happened to this school. Is it still standing - has it changed its name.

Also what happened to all the teachers such as Judith Kingston (yeah Keith Kenneth Kingston's wife) KKKingston fame who was a teacher at this school for many years.

This school also produced many well known swimmers who competed for PNG.

Thumbs up Good News

Thanx for the update.

Now all we have to do is to get Judith (Mrs. Kingston) to come online and tell us whats the goss on all the teachers/past students that she is aware of.

Gee, just think of how many pupils she must have taught in all her years at Bulae !

If there are any other teachers who hit this site, register and come on board and help fill in the gaps.

Smile

I was a student a Bulae from 1973 to 1980 (prep(twice) to 6) Repeating prep due to a rock in the head.

I must say that the school was great, and had a high standard of education back then. Got me thru University so must have been good.

Marbles in the play ground was always great due to all the large rooted trees in the middle.

Teachers were pretty good. Hi Karen and Mr Tindle if you ever come across this.

Anyway hi to everyone who went there. Great School as far as schools go.

I know where ghoulishlittlegoblin is coming from though, having wrecked myself on SP numerous time in Lae. Going from home to work to the yatch club doesn't take you past Eriku and Bulae.

By the way ghoulishlittlegoblin if you were pissed and you were going from the the Aviat Club to the Golf Club and mistakingly took a right at Andersonstowards the University, instead of left to the Golf Club, Bulae is on the left behind all those trees on the corner.

Yes, I was a Bulae baby - from Prep in 1968 to Grade 6 in 1974.

and we have finally found one of THEM...

What we need now is more, so this can be a real happening school page.

Come on in out of the cold and catch up with all your old school buddies...find out where they are....married/divorced/single....eight kids etc.

Spread the word and lets get this website on the WORLD WIDE MAP.

Lightbulb Another Thomas

The Thomas's sure support this site.

First there is Shane Thomas (a computer delphi programmer at Cambridge University) married to Ainslie and they have one child Liam.

Then Cheree Kearney (formerly Thomas) who lives on the Gold Coast, married to Tony "baby", and they have two children Ryan 4 & Lana born in May'02. Both Shane & Cheree attended Bulae and then Lae International High School.

Followed by Nathan Thomas, currently attending Bond Uni at the Gold Coast, studying for an IT degree, also with one child Brandon.

And last but not least, "Red Alert" Mikayla Thomas, the fiery red head. Mikayla is also living on the Gold Coast and just had her first child a boy Elexis in April'02.

Mikayla took the rascals in PNG so seriously, she took up self defence lessons at St. Hilda's boarding school. A few years later she ended up the "All Styles" Karate Champion of Australia, Male & Female under 18 yrs div.

Both Nathan & Mikayla attended Murray International in Port Moresby. Mikayla also attended Goroka Primary School in Grade 6.

How do I know all this ? simple...coz I am their MOTHER !
