Lightbulb PNG Custom's, Stories and Legends.

In the Arowe tribes of West New Britain Province one of their customs which was practiced by the people long ago was head binding. When a baby was born they would wrap their heads with cloth and leave it wrapped for weeks until the head began to take a more oval type shape. This was because in the days when Tribal fights were fierce the main weapon used in these fights were long spears, these spears were huge and an elite warrior could propel a spear at such a speed that it could split a trees trunk in half. Therefore you were more likely to dodge these spears if your head had been binded and taken on a more oval shape than if you didn't because you had a more rounded shape. In this photo you can see my grandad and his oval shaped head.

Please submit your PNG customs, legends and stories on this thread. I would like to learn more of the diversity that we share as a Nation.
Thanks!!
