24: Legacy

9PM-10PM:
Antepenultimate hour of the series/season.
Rebecca and Eric goes rogue to rescue John.
Mullins from CTU contacts Tony to get his help in locating Rebecca. Tony asked Mullins how he got his number.
Considering that Tony himself is a former CTU director that was rather a silly question to ask.
Intriguing when Andy finds out what the phrase, that Jennifer told him, means.

24: Legacy

10PM-11PM:
Penultimate episode of the series/season.
Simms employed Tony for a job on Asim’s daughter Ara and goes to show how easily Tony is being used for a price of course as he is very dispensable from those who employ him.
Simms gets hijacked in his own office by Eric thanks to John’s help and they also find out about Ara.
Mullins sure risked his career by assaulting Pang the man sent by Simms to displace Mullins in overseeing CTU in order Andy more time to help out Eric.
Eric and Tony finally encounter each other and both of them sure are determined not to back down on one other due to their own intentions on Ara and what a thrilling close of the hour as we eagerly wonder what is going to happen next between these two men.

Here in Australia, Network Ten has been showing 24: Legacy at 10PM on Sundays, however given this hour they weren’t exactly in sync with the corresponding minutes of this hour as they ended the episode at 10:57PM not 11PM.

24: Legacy

11PM-12PM:
Series/season finale.
Thanks to John’s call to Tony, Tony agrees to let Eric take Ara in exchange to Naseri for Rebecca.
However what a shock in the midst of this exchange Rebecca is shot by Bin-Khalid as she took the bullet for Eric and then she dies from it.
We then jump 12 hours to the end of this 24 hours and John is informed by an FBI agent that Simms committed suicide.
Simms’ suicide but not Rebecca’s death which really convinced John to stay in the race.
Overall not a bad end to the first 24 hours of Legacy.

24: Legacy has been knifed after only a single season.

However Fox is developing a new incarnation of the 24 franchise.

Saw Now and Again 1.9 By the Light of the Moon guest starred Reiko Aylesworth.

Now and Again ran for one season in 1999-2000 and it featured Dennis Haysbert as a series regular.
Curiously enough both Haysbert and Aylesworth would later become principal cast members of 24 as the former had played President David Palmer and the latter played Michelle Dessler.

Now and Again 1.14 Film At Eleven had Dr Morris being called to meet the US President.
Dr Morris was played by Dennis Haysbert and he later became President himself in David Palmer in 24.

Annie Wersching in her tasks as Agent Renee Walker in 24 included protecting President Allison Taylor and especially remembered when she found out the plot by terrorists in invading the White House.
These days Annie Wersching has a recurring role in Timeless and in 2.5 The Kennedy Curse had her as Emma Whitmore tasked with assassinating John F. Kennedy as a young man long before he became President.
So from presidential protector to would-be presidential assassin. Quite a contrast.

The antepenultimate episode of Superstore season 2, Spring Cleaning had Bo (Johnny Pemberton) calling Dina (Lauren Ash), Jack Bauer as a compliment.
