Talking 32 Years in films and tv.

In 1966 someone asked me if I wanted to work for two days on Roger Moore's tv series as an extra.
I thought it would be a laugh so I said yes.
I stayed in the biz for the next 32 years and worked on over 800 shows and films.
I met and worked with the cream of actors and directors and can now look back and say I had the best job in the world.

I have a list of the work I've done on my web page and will try to answer any questions on here if I can. (the old grey cells ?)

Aitch,

Morning Breathless,

I was the Tombola man on this film and had some ad lib lines to say.
I was never a star in films or tv just a background artist but got to be on over 800 productions.
I was in the biz to get a living so I took any job that came along.
If a producer or director wanted someone to say the odd unscripted line or get dressed up as a giant crow, (Ken Russell's The Devils 1971) they'd say ''Get Aitch''
In life we all have to work and I was lucky enough to find the best job in the world.

Hi Aitch,
On the Blake's 7 season 3 DVD I read the synopsis for the episode Children of Auron in which you played a Federation trooper.
First of all the episode had an interesting guest cast, it had Michael Troughton, son of Patrick, Ronald Leigh-Hunt who sadly passed away recently and Ric Young who contemporary viewers would recognise his face as being the top Chinese agent who loved torturing Jennifer Garner on Alias as well as a small part in the Jet Li film Kiss of the Dragon.
So what do you remember about working on Children of Auron. Was Paul Darrow a lovely person to work with.
Finally which trooper were you? Were you one who helped Michael Troughton to a chair and/or the one whom Servalan throws a cup at.

regards

Hello Matt,

I worked on so many Blakes 7s (it was our bread and butter jobs) that I can't remember which was which.

And of course we used to work till 10pm at night so I never got to see any of it.I have some listed on IMDB.

This was in the days before videos...They were all a great crew to work with and I didn't have any faves.
