Extend your stay in Alotau and:

  • Either dinghy trip to Wagawaga; or to Samarai and her neighboring Islands, or
  • Travel east by road to East Cape, or north over-range, or around the Bay, or
  • Check with Hewa-Hewa Tours (+675 641 0071), Milne Bay Magic Tours - (+675 641 0711) or the Tourism Bureau.

Decide to go to Alotau earlier and call in at the week-long Craft Market starting on Saturday 7th September and leave on the Tuesday after the Show weekend.

Check Air Niugini and Airlines of PNG for special travel packages.

Hello Gail.

I actually replied to that one. I suggested they should contact Alotau Enterprises (6411246) and talk to Bob Coleman as he keeps an eye on shopping movements as it is his job to send freight to all the little trade stores in the outstations. I would also contact Father Stidwell at the Catholic church as he has boats going that way to the Missions on Rossel, Sudest and Misima Islands. You could also check out Misima Mines.

Kinkys photos

Kinkys' first photo is taken from middle town looking down towards the harbour on the right of the picture and the harbour market towards the left.

Wagawaga is on the opposite shoreline and is towards the right upper corner of the picture (proberbly out of the shot).

Places to stay include Napatana Lodge, Masurina, Bayviews, Airways Hotel and there are some private homes/guesthouses for rent also.

Cheers
