We were in Port Moresby 1979 -1984 with a short break for a contract in Malaysia around 1981. I went to Gordons when we first got there, then Korobosea. We came back to Port Moresby and I went back to Korobosea and then onto POMHI, leaving around April 1984 to 'go finish' to NZ. My Dad worked for Air Nuigini and my Mum worked at the Post Courier and a printing ink company while we lived there (with John Holmes and Neil).

Heard Maurice Elavo passed away some years ago. We used to play basketball at the Hohola Courts in the 70's. I was at UPNG during that time. Sorry I have been away from PNG for sometime so I might be wrong about Maurice Elavo but that was what I heard. I am currently leaving between Auckland, New Zealand and Rarotonga, Cook Islands. Yep. I used to like those freindly days in Port Moresby (1975-1990).

My parents were there - Jeffrey & Elvie

I was only born late 1987 but my parents were there a lot (and Rabaul and Lae) - my dad was an Australian named Jeffrey Cook and my mother Filipina named Elvie / Elvira. Dad was the treasurer of the Yacht Club in POM for a while too and worked at the Boroko bank - did anyone here ever know them?
