Star Trek: Hidden Frontier

Darkest Night:
Season 5, Episode 3.
Pretty much dull episode involving some crew members at camp and flashbacks along the way.

Star Trek: Hidden Frontier

Security Counsel:

Antepenultimate episode of season 5.

This has been voted the best of the fifth season and rightly so.

The Excelsior gets embroiled in the internal problems of a world government and intrigue that goes on to fight against involvement by the Excelsior.

In Doctor Who: Closing Time (2011), the Doctor and Craig make reference to Star Trek and Beam Me Up Scotty.
This is prescient to the fact that this episode guest starred Chris Obi who played security guard George as he later played T’Kuvma in Star Trek: Discovery.

Star Trek: Hidden Frontier

Epitaph:
Penultimate episode of season 5.
Sad and emotional with Captain Shelby having just lost her mother and the grieving that comes with it.
Not bad the other plotline of the Excelsior discovering secrets of the Grey but that princess on board was sure irritating.

Nicholas Meyer who directed Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and more recently as consulting producer of Star Trek: Discovery revealed that he had been working on a Star Trek trilogy for CBS All Access that is separate from Discovery and the movies but has been placed on hold due to a legal battle between CBS and Paramount/Viacom:
