Star Trek: Hidden Frontier

Worst Fears Part 3:
Season 3, Episode 2.
Conclusion to the Worst Fears story.
What a bold rescue mission to get Captain Knapp out of fold space.
Mackenzie Calhoun gets referenced here and he is the captain of the Excalibur in the Star Trek: New Frontier novel series whom Elizabeth Shelby had served as first officer.
Not bad way to end Worst Fears.

Star Trek 25th Anniversary Special:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLtyi5r7vp0

This programme celebrated the 25th anniversary of Star Trek in 1991.
Up to this point in time there was only TOS and TNG with the TOS movies with the last of the TOS movies The Undiscovered Country being released that year.
There was no look at the animated series no doubt due to Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry never considering it to be real Star Trek and Roddenberry himself is interviewed here shortly before his death on October 24 1991.
A good overview of what has been shown in Star Trek up to this point in time and reflects the advances that has been made to travel in space in real life.
This special even has a touch of gloss when it included an appearance at the 1:22:31 mark by then US Vice President Dan Quayle who was also Chairman of the National Space Council at the time.

Star Trek: Hidden Frontier

Heroes:
Season 3, Episode 3.
While the newly promoted Commodore Knapp takes his daughter Traya on a trip, Robin received a creepy message from a past menace and the Independence becomes entangled in a cat and mouse game leading to ancient archaeological artifacts.
Not bad combining all these threads together for this episode.

For the Love of Spock:
Released in 2016, For The Love of Spock is a documentary film about Leonard Nimoy who played Spock in Star Trek.
In fact 2016 is the 50th anniversary year of Star Trek.
It is narrated and directed by Nimoy’s son Adam.
For The Love of Spock is a fascinating look at Leonard Nimoy’s work as Spock, his work outside Star Trek including Mission: Impossible, interviews with Star Trek luminaries including his own co-stars and Adam looking at his own relationship with Leonard.
While Leonard Nimoy will be forever remembered as Spock, For The Love of Spock shows that there was more than Nimoy than Spock.

Began Mrs Columbo (1979-80) starring Kate Mulgrew as the title character.
The first episode Word Games guest stars Rene Auberjonois in the first of two appearances in the series.
Of course both Mulgrew and Auberjonois would become significant members of Star Trek as Mulgrew is Kathryn Janeway in Voyager and Auberjonois is Odo in DS9.
