Part 1:
Very very good as a chase movie and provides an excellent momentum for the concluding film.
A superb direction from director David Yates.

Part 2:
A well handled final chapter to the Harry Potter film saga thanks to the direction by David Yates.
Intriguing the revelation about the battle between Harry and Voldemort has all been about.
I was quite wary about the film’s coda as I knew what was it about from reading the book but wasn’t quite as daunting as I thought it would be. If nothing else, that even though The Deathly Hallows is the final chapter in the Harry Potter story, its coda shows that life goes on at Hogwarts no matter what happens.

Familiar faces are back in this final film but a lot of them had little or nothing to say. Comic Relief Eleventh Doctor Jim Broadbent had five brief scenes but had little or nothing to say in each of them.
The Sydney Sunday Telegraph’s Lucy Carne gave the film four stars with the verdict of “An emotional and magnificent finale to a spellbinding series”. In the final paragraph of his review, Dent wrote:
“This may be the end of the road, but the love for the wizard will continue on forever. That is the magic of Harry Potter.”

Margaret Pomerantz and David Stratton from ABC’s At the Movies also enjoyed the film with each giving it 3 and a half stars.
