Blakes Legacy: Betrayal:
http://www.westlakefilms.co.uk/blakeslegacy.html

Blakes Legacy was an attempt for a fan made audio spin-off series of Blake’s 7 set ten years after the finale Blake but as writer and producer John Isles explained in his notes only one episode Betrayal with technical difficulties made it impossible for further episodes to be made.

Betrayal is an interesting look at the beginning of a new band of rebels with their own ship the Vanguard. Even though no reference is made to familiar Blake’s 7 characters there is definitely a Blake’s 7 feel to it although Isles says in his notes that Servalan at this time was again President of the Federation although they never intended to feature her in Blakes Legacy.
Overall a good beginning of a series that might have been.

Paul Darrow (Avon) has written a new Blake’s 7 novel for Big Finish which also be available in an audiobook version.
The new novel Lucifer is about what happened to Avon after the events of the series finale Blake and will be released in May 2013.
This is not the first time that Darrow had written a Blake’s 7 novel. In 1989 he wrote Avon: A Terrible Aspect which took place before the Blake’s 7 series opener The Way Back.

The Blake’s 7 reboot has gotten an official teaser blurb:
http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/04/...-teaser-blurb/

There will be 13 episodes for the new series.

The article also mentioned the casting of Idris Elba as Blake but that turned out to be an April Fool’s joke.

Saw Colin Salmon in Death In Paradise 1.5.

Colin Salmon had played Avon in the Blake’s 7 audio series some years ago and funnily enough the previous Death In Paradise episode had guest starred Salmon’s co-star in the aforementioned Blake’s 7 audio series, Derek Riddell who had played Blake.

So Riddell and Salmon narrowly missed each other for their Death In Paradise guest stints and therefore no Blake-Avon reunion in Death In Paradise.
