Question Japanese Weaponry Information

Hi. I've joined this forum on behalf of my brother. He lives in PNG in the area of Hoskins, West New Britain and he sent me an email the other day which reads like this:

"The book I'm after, well the info anyhow that I'm after is about Japanese weaponry and aircraft that was used in WWII here in Hoskins. Maybe even info you could get off the web about stuff like what artillery and planes they used here and I'm after a good cut away picture of the Japanese Zero aircraft cos I'm pretty sure that's whats in the bush here that I saw 2 of. I have a bunch of old bullets and bits I dug up from an old bunker here and they have Japanese writing on them so I want
to find out what they mean...maybe you could download stuff on Japanese writing off the web"

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Amanda.
