Twenty Year Journey

PNG ONE;-Port Moresby in the 1950s.The pink roof building (centre left) is the Bank Of New South Wales (Westpac) on the corner of Douglas St and Musgrave St.The two storey building on the opposite side (centre right) is the Papua Hotel (The Top Pub). This image is actually a Postcard printed in America.

PNG TWO:- The roof of this single mens Donga in Douglas St is the same roof, second from bottom left,in the first picture'

PNG THREE:-Taken from the Donga looking towards the street. This picture illustrates a picket fence tree lined Douglas St in 1961.I believe the Reserve Bank is now on this site.

PNG FOUR:-.The Town Clock in the centre of Douglas and Musgrave Streets in 1961.More photos will follow.
