Lightbulb Can you make a difference? Talk to Leadership PNG

It takes more than good intentions to bring about lasting change.
Complacency and cynicism are two of the biggest impediments to action.
Complacency allows people to ignore hard issues.
Cynicism lets people believe that things will never improve.

PNG is a society in rapid transition, and there exists a vacuum of shared values and experience, between the place where people have come from, and the place where they are to go to in the future.

The opportunity is there for leaders from all sectors to fill the vacuum. This will either happen through conscious action, or by default.

History tells us that change leaders are people who recognized the changes that were occurring in the wider environment that surround their people and were able to visualize what their people needed to do to survive and prosper in the new environment, and then articulated the vision to their people and guided them through the turbulent waters of change.

If you share this belief we invite you to apply to join the LPNG 2007 Community Leadership Program.
Leadership Papua New Guinea is looking at recruiting 16 Papua New Guineans to participate in their inaugural Community Leadership Program.

The selection process involves completing the attached application form and submitting it to Leadership PNG - closing date 30th April 2007. The short listed applicants will be invited to attend an interview.

Successful applicants will be offered a place on the Leadership PNG Community Leadership Program after the completion of the interview process.

NB: The LPNG Community Leadership Program is not a traditional, curriculum-based course like an MBA, but it does involve intensive learning. The program is designed to challenge accepted norms of the way leaders view their roles and responsibilities.

Best regards,

This has been postponed to August so you still have sometimes to nominate.
