With economic times continuing to be difficult, your assistance for the Salvation Army through the annual Red Shield Appeal is needed more than ever. The Red Shield Appeal is an important, indeed essential, means of funding the Salvation Anny's various programmes which provide support, assistance and the basic essentials of life to those in most need in our community.

I would request your organisation consider making a meaningful contribution to the Salvation Army's 2003 Red Shield Appeal. You can be assured your contribution will be utili sed in bringing some relief to those in need, and will attract tax relief, thereby reducing the effective cost of giving.

If your organisation made a donation last year, this was most appreciated, and I hope you will make a donation of at least the same amount this year. If you were unable to make a donation last year, I hope you will be able to commit some funds to this worthwhile cause in 2003.
