Rabaul 1974 -76 Volcanological Observatory

Hi, I'm wondering if there are any readers/members, who were around Rabaul during the mid 70's. I spent 2 incredible years working at Haus Guria with Rob Cooke, Chris McKee etc...made many friends, both local and expat, who over time have drifted away from lack of contact, as life usually does eh!

It would be great to catch up with people I knew back then, just to hear how they are and what's happening in the region.

Still have many fond memories of the darts comp, when my wife beat HK and he gave her a salute at the awards night, hehe...bet he still remembers it too!!

I wish I could spend the rest of my life in that region...regardless of volcanoes, it is a wonderful part of this planet.

Hope to hear from old contacts

Cheers

Mike

BTW I have heaps of pics of my time in the region...war relics, volcanoes, old friends, etc. If anyone would like to see them, drop me a line.

Dear Mike,

I refer to your post in PNG Forum and I would appreciate if you will email me the pics you have of Rabaul and surrounds. I lived there from 1939 to 1964.
Thanks,
Richard Seeto.
