Bruce Bragg/Lae
Hello all
I'm wondering if anyone recalls the late Bruce Bragg, my dad's best mate from childhood. Bruce lobbed in Lae soon after the war and remained there until the '60s, running a boat named the "Buka" up and down the northern coast. He had a "mangrove ticket", whatever that means. I believe he was based at Voco Point. After leaving New Guinea he set up a motel near Kuranda, Queensland. Dad spent the best six months of his life mucking around with Bruce in Lae c.1953. I'd love to hear from anyone who remembers Bruce - or knows of people who do. Cheers John in Sydney. |

Are you John Piggott from Port Moresby around 1976-1981?
