Star Wreck: In The Pirkinning:

Saw it on Youtube:

Star Wreck: In The Pirkinning was not only a parody on Star Trek as indicated by the words Star Wreck but also Babylon 5 with In The Pirkinning undoubtedly a reference to the Babylon 5 TV movie In The Beginning.
The Pirk part of the name is in reference to James B PIrk an obvious parody on James T Kirk.
It was only after finished watching this movie that I discovered that it is the seventh in the Star Wreck series. It seems that whereas In The Pirkinning runs for 103 minutes the previous entries in the series have been of much shorter lengths.
Along with Pirk, the characters in In The Pirkinning is that of a parody of familiar Star Trek and Babylon 5 characters. Among the other familiar Star Trek characters that got spoofed were based on Worf and Data. The Worf-like and Data-like served under the Kirk-like Pirk. It was somewhat bizarre to look at considering the fact that Worf and Data had served under Picard not Kirk.
In The Pirkinning had a crossover with the Star Trek-like and Babylon 5-like universes something that is unthinkable to happen on the official Star Trek and Babylon 5 universes. Not only that but the crew of both universes are at war with each other. No doubt this fulfils the dreams of many Star Trek and Babylon 5 fans.
As spoofs goes this was not bad.

Robin Sachs has passed away.

Robin Sachs appeared in the Voyager episode The Void playing General Valen.

As well as Star Trek he also appeared in the Doctor Who, Babylon 5 and Buffy universes.

More on this at the Torchwood thread.

Star Wreck 1:

This is the first in the Star Wreck series of films and it only lasts for four minutes.
Completely made in computer animation and it is fun and amusing in a lot of places including the battle sequences.

All times are GMT +11. The time now is 01:59 PM.
