AFTER the innitiative kicked of last year with the successful launching and staging of the first ever held Orchid show in PNG, organizers of the shows have gone one step ahead and gauged support both from the government and the private sector to stage yet another spectacular show of orchids this year.
Participants at the show with the help of the Orchid Society of Papua New Guinea are showcasing beautiful, unique and colorful display of different types of Papua New Guinean Orchids and some from abroad at the National Parliament this weekend.
Named the 2nd International Orchid Spectacular, the show will bring about all colorful Orchid Flowering displays, including potting Demonstration, Orchid Plant Sales, Orchid Accessories and Orchid Cut Flowers & Books.
The event takes place at the Sir Rabbie Namaliu Orchid Gardens this Saturday 4th to Sunday 5th of June from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
There will also be special international guest orchid Nuseries from Taiwan & Malaysia.
There is an entry fee of k1.00 per person and all proceeds will be donated to the City Mission.
