AN American cruise ship Clipper Odyssey sailed into Port Moresby last week with 100 tourists on aboard. Most of the tourists were from Australia, America and Europe.
The ship left Cairns and sailed into Port Moresby on a one-day stop.
Melanesian Tourists Services Tour operator Nick Kurira said the Clipper Odyssey will tour the Trobriand Islands in Milne Bay and Rabaul in the East New Britain before continuing its world voyage.
The tourists had a chance to see places around Port Moresby and visited the National Museum and Art Gallery and the National Parliament.
Having never seen PNG art before the tourists were impressed with it and were suprised to see friendly faces of people despite bad publicity in the media.
