PNGBC & BSP Internet Access

Why is there no internet access to passbook/CC account for customers for these 2 banks, (not mentioning other banks) because I have account with these 2 banks.

Can anyone explain please.

PNG is developing country and technology is that area is not catching up yet... I'm assuming...........

From what I heard BSP will go into internet banking system soon. How soon...I don't know. But there has been talks that they are working on it. I cannot say much on this at this stage....

There is no online banking as yet. However, you may wish to use their "telephone banking" for the moment. Before doing phone banking, this service needs to be applied for so that the IDs and password can be supplied for this.

When that is done, phone banking can be done from virtually anywhere in the world. The telephone banking number is +675 180 2888

Is it is safe and secure to do telephone banking in png? I wouldn't think about doing via telephone, though it was good idea.

I haven't had access to my accounts for almost 3 years while I have been out of country for the last 3 years.
