Jessie
Divine Word University in cooperation with the State Society and Govermance in Melanesia project will be holding a Good News Conference from 24 - 26 November. The purpose of the conference is to draw attention to things that work: successful initiatives, models of community development and relations, entrepreneurs and area of government.
Topics for consideration:
Holistic development - Successful Initiatives at the Community Level, e.g. education, community development, health, agriculture
Community Approaches to Law and Order - Restorative justice, women's groups, communitypolicing, conflict resolution, mediation, counselling successes
Successful Entrepreneurs, e.g. individual and community based business ventures such as vanilla, coffee, ect.
Project and Institution - Successful development project [with donor and NGO support] and aspect of Government
Analysis of Success and Lessons learned - practices and principles that underline successful projects
